After the Indian women returned from training sessions, they queued up to wash their clothes.

India did not concede a single goal in the semi-final or final, beating South Korea 5-0 and Japan 1-0 en route to winning the gold.

India's Helen Mary, who played the final with a fractured finger, was declared the Goalkeeper of the Tournament.
